Norton MA

Norton is a town in Bristol County, Massachusetts. Norton’s unique composition was developed over the years as smaller villages formed and grew. Today most people know the village of Norton Center, but originally there is also Chartley, Norton Center, Barrowsville, Norton Furnace, Crane’s, E. Norton and Winnecunnet. Each village was formed and grew with its own characteristics and heritage. Some villages even had their own post offices, railroad stations, fire stations and schools. But these small centers created a strong whole, and as the town of Norton stands today as a proud, supportive community.

Norton is home of Wheaton College, and a number of public and private schools. Norton is also home to the Norton High School located near the center of town. The school colors are purple and white and their mascot is a lancer.
