DIAMOND IS THE SKY DECEMBER 2016!
Going forward, for our Shining Stars of the Month, we’re going to start expanding recipients to periodically include people who engage in voluntary acts that serve persons with autism and other special needs outside of our organization. Along these lines, what better person to start with than Fran Fistori, owner of the highly successful Modern Auto Body in Brockton? For the past several years, with the assistance of Michelle Farrar, Fran has paid for and thrown a giant festival for people of all ages with special needs, previously at The Shaws Center and, this past fall, at Ted Williams Camp in Lakeville. The events are not small gatherings but actual fairs with face painting, horseback riding, petting zoos, jumpy houses and lots of food–all of which Fran provides free of charge. For his incredibly noble efforts, Fran receives nothing tangible. He simply throws this annual event to give back to his community. We’re honored to announce Fran Fistori as our final Shining Star of the Month for 2016!
